Remote Visual Testing

Introduction

As the title suggest it's a kind of visual testing technique which is done remotely with the help of other supporting equipment. Remote visual inspection is a non-destructive testing technique that employs the use of remotely operated cameras and robotic crawlers in order to assess the integrity of components and infrastructure in areas that are too dangerous or remote for direct human intervention.

Application

PRETECT uses Mentor Visual iQ Video probe™ for Remote Visual Testing .Advances in image-based 3D measurement are making the video borescope an increasingly powerful tool in assessing the client equipment's. While in the past, we could identify indications and capture images; today's advanced video borescopes allow us to map, measure, and analyze indications in 3D and improve probability of detection (POD) by checking our work in real time.

Our Long Steer probes provide great image quality, light output and articulation in lengths up to 30 meters. Particularly useful for visual inspection of piping, heat exchangers and boiler tubes.

Loose parts and foreign objects stuck inside piping or other confined spaces can cause serious damage and unnecessary downtime to manufacturing processes, and power generation systems. Increase productivity and get out of tight spots with the 6.2 mm diameter working channel probe. This Mentor Visual iQ attachable probe features an internal working channel and a full suite of working tools, making it the most complete foreign object debris (FOD) retrieval system in the industry
